try tummy binding after your baby (babies) come? I didn't do this after my first pregnancy but I am considering it this time around because, quite frankly, I've gained a horrendous amount of weight for my height/frame. Any experience?

YES the belly wraps/girdles/belt things haha I have never tried it and I really wanna try it this time around. I have been researching and I think I am going to go with bellefit. I also hear belly bandit is good. I am just going to go off of reviews I suppose since I have never done this! I am so excited I hope it would work! It's supposed to help get everything shifted back into place, help with back pain, and help you gain your pre-baby shape back *fingers crossed*

I used both belly bandit and shrinx hips after DD. I think they worked and I have them ready to use again. My only advice is don't use them for the first couple of days. I put them on immediately and it pushed all of the fluid to my legs. I looked like I had elephantitis and it totally freaked out the nurses. But I was back into my size 2 pants immediately. I def recommend them.

thank you so much for your input! I also saw the shrinkx hips and wondered if it would be okay and beneficial to wear that at the same time as wearing the girdle. Since you had experience with it I think I will do that too! I was thinking I would start wearing them on discharge day from the hospital but we will see. I will definitely not on the day of delivery. I can't believe the fluid got pushed to your legs! Did it hurt? How long until the fluid went down? That sounds freaky!

It didn't hurt with the fluid in my legs at all. I didn't even notice until I changed pants (I took my own clothes and had put them on as soon as I got cleaned up after delivery). But it was NOT pretty. I do really think the bands helped tho.

No. After these 3 8lb monsters the only thing that can help me is a plastic surgeon.

aw, well in any case there is nothing wrong with even plastic surgery as long as it makes you happy

I havent thought about it honestly. I have a lot of weight to lose, so a wrap isnt going to help me.

I think it isn't so much about the weight to lose, necessarily, although that could be a benefit. It's more about shifting everything back where it needs to go and helping to shrink the uterus back to normal. I didn't know about this when I was pregnant with my daughter, but apparently it's highly recommended and I asked my doctor about it after my appt. last week and she recommended it as well

It does help shift things back and makes it easier to fit back into clothes once you do lose the weight. The one for hips is really great, too, making sure that the spread isn't permanent. I don't know that I would have gotten back in my skinny jeans after DD without it. I wore both for weeks after. Not the most comfortable thing all the time, but I took breaks when I needed to. But between the two of them, I got my body back pretty quickly.
