Went for another NST and BPP. Little man was moving around the whole time I was at the doctors. My fluid levels were 7 last monday and today they were up to 14. So my OB wants me to go to my NST that I have scheduled thursday and come in next tuesday for another NST and BPP and then I have to schedule an U/S for next thursday with a fluid check and if that one comes back good too then we can stop the NST and BPP's She said I am all baby and his butt is what he keeps shoving into my right rib area. Tomorrow I'll be 34 weeks and officially he can come anytime since they will no longer stop labor. Crazy to think it could be any day now even though I don't expect it for awhile still.

I'm so glad everything came back good!! Hopefully it'll stay that way and you'll be able to stop having the BPP's and NST's!

Great to hear.

may I ask. Why all the tests and what does the BBP stand for? I think I am in a similar situation as you. Small baby and low fluid levels, they want weekly monitoring...NST and ultrasounds.

I am sure that someone can answer better than I can. Just really quick, a BPP is generally a bio physical profile. They look not just at the heart rate. It look at the practice breathing, number of gross motor movements and fine motor movements (and perhaps something additional). Gives a good indication of how baby is doing. A really good friend of mine had a baby with a heart defect. She had a BPP often to see how long she could go before delivery was required.

During my BPP they monitor his movement and fluid levels. I started getting NST's because I have Pre-E during pregnancy. They added BPP's because at my 32 week U/S I had really low fluid levels. He isn't small though. He was 4 lbs 9 oz at the 32 week u/s.
