Ugh. I just don't want to go today. She already said she's not going to do a cervical check unless I go past my due date. There's nothing new to report and I don't have any questions. She'll check my blood pressure - which has been low this whole pregnancy, but not low enough to cause problems. She'll measure my tummy and tell me I'm measuring exactly at 38 weeks. She'll listen to the baby's heartbeat and it'll be the same as it always is. She'll ask how I'm feeling and I'll tell her I'm uncomfortable and she'll say "Yep, that's normal." And then I'll go home. It takes half an hour to get there, and I have to bring my daughter.

I know I should be happy for a normal, good-news appointment...but it's been the exact same thing for months and it takes an hour and a half out my day, and I'm uncomfortable and still getting over a cold and I just want to take a nap.

Arg. *cranky cranky cranky*

That is how I feel about my doctor appointments too. Good news is you don't have many more left!

I know that feeling. It is such a hassle getting there with a child in tow. I just went to my 37 week appointment yesterday and it was exhausting. I didn't even schedule my 38 week appointment on the way out... sigh.. I guess I should call and make it but it just seems so pointless. At this point all he tells me are the same labor signs and to go to L&D. If I get any weird symptoms, go to L&D. So I am not even sure what the point of another appointment is....

Huge hugs Hun! Almost there! If I didn't have such nice chats with my midwife I would feel the same way.

Be happy you aren't going twice a week and being hooked up for NSTs every time.

I know what you mean, though. It seems like such a waste of time. They certainly don't feel that way. They're making good money off of you.

Yes at least things are normal and it's a quick short appointment. I am only 34 weeks and have weekly appointments ultrasounds and NSt tests, gets to be a lot.

Think of it this way at least if there is an issue they would catch it, I am sure you would feel horrible if it didn't go and something was wrong.

Your almost done thou YAY!

I understand the feeling. I however have to go once a week already and then again to the hospital for twice a week NST's. I was hoping this last appointment she would say we could stop them but no such luck It takes me 45 minutes to get to my OB.

Hope your appointment is equally as uneventful as all the others. I agree its a pain though. I have an appt this morning and I have to drive to the hospital and pay for parking etc etc and it's a real pain in the butt
