I had my 36 week appointment this morning and it went pretty well. Logan is head down now! I have been doing those spinning exercises and I actually went to a chiropractor for really intense back pain that wouldn't let up and I think honestly that may have helped him move. I am so happy I made that choice! I started having the back pain after having my daughter and I honestly thought it was birth-related and that it would go away.. it only came in sharp twinges when I lay down suddenly and would cause me to freeze and wait for my back to relax to move.. well being pregnant again when my belly got super large that pain is constantly there; not just when I lay down.. so anyway moral of the story: so so happy I went to the chiropractor because I was told that my back was super twisted and I already feel much much better after two visits.
Anyway, back to the appointment. My doctor did a cervical check and I was about 1 cm dilated and around 30 percent effaced, she said. She also did a quick 2 minute sonogram just to make sure he is head down and he is yayyyyy so I got a birthing ball afterward and I am trying to do lot's of those hip exercises and squatting to get him into good position. I really really am praying I can have a natural birth! I know it's most important that baby arrive safely, I am just super hopeful here. I noticed that after coming home I have a lot more BH contractions... could that be from the cervical check? My mom is all curious to see if the full moon will put me into early labor but I honestly don't think so (at least I hope not.. I am ready for this to be over but I would prefer he be fully ready and full-term).. my daughter was born at 39 weeks 1 day so my doctor didn't seem concerned about me..
Also got my group B strep done and I am seen back again next week. I am so busy these days, appointments on top of appointments, on top of work.. I am so tired. But this will help the time fly hopefully for Logan to get here! I also talked about birth control with my doctor.. I am terrified to try it again and, to be honest, my family doesn't believe in it.. but I really wanna be done having babies and even though my boyfriend mentioned he would get a vasectomy, I feel I should at least be proactive until he does. Any thoughts? I had mirena after Chloe was born and my body attacked it and I got really sick.. so ya there's a ton of fear. My doctor mentioned the arm implanon might be a nice choice. I guess we will see! I am so excited that some babies have already been born and we are about to have a baby boom in here! woo hoo!
Glad your appointment went well. I am so happy that baby Logan turned head down As far as the birth control.... hmmm, I had a pretty good experience with NuvaRing. I haven't heard such great things about the arm injection but maybe it has gotten better in the last few years. Hope you can find something that works for you! That is scary about your Mirena making you sick.
