Ok, yes, I have 3 children... I should remember this! But, my oldest is about to be 14!! And I don't really remember the little details at this point.
So, we have spent the last 2 nights at L&D b/c M is 2 minutes apart, roughly. Last night she called me in a panic at 1130 b/c she was bleeding and "this big lugi just came out". I tried explaining to her that it was her mucous plug and its perfectly normal, but the fact that she was bleeding pretty moderately (2 pads in 3 hours was what ended up being the total) we went on in to get her checked. She is 50% and a fingertip. My question is... how long did you walk around after your plug fell out before things started happening with your first delivery? Subsequent pregnancies women can go weeks at 2cm or even more and without a mucous plug, but from what I can remember first timers usually don't. Any thoughts??

I lost my plug 2 weeks before labor started, but it can regenerate and I didn't have any bleeding, so I'm not really sure about that one.

I didn't lose my plug until labor with my first, but I lost it at 32 weeks the second time. I'm guessing it regenerated but I was at 4cm at my last appointment before I went into labor about 12 hours later.

I lost it last pregnancy at 37 weeks and delivered at 38 weeks 6 days. However, I didn't have any bleeding until a day before I delivered.
