When do you think you will dtd again after your baby is here? Will you wait the full 6 weeks?

Yep. I have to wait at least that long. I typically bleed for minimum 6 weeks so I always wait until I stop bleeding. And then I have a big glass of wine and hope for the best.

DH and I made it about a week and a half after DD was born, lol. We hadn't DTD in about 6 months because DH is weird about it when I'm pregnant, but as soon as that baby was out he was raring to go!

It was a bit uncomfortable since I had a small tear, but not unmanageable with plenty of lube. It's always been a very important part of our relationship, so I'm willing to put up with a little bit of discomfort to have that closeness back.

My midwife told me last time to just go for it whenever I felt up to it. I haven't talked to my current midwife about it yet.

We'll see what my doc says this time. I had a really bad tear last time and I ended up waiting 8 weeks I think.

As a FTM, I don't know. But I suppose it'll depend on how long I bleed for and if I have any tearing. SO is going to lose it after about a week, but he's also really understanding and he'll be fine with whatever I want.

If I am bleeding then there will be NO DTD. DH is a complete germaphobe when it comes to blood and fluids so maybe by the time it stops. He is also extremely patient and the idea of even possibly hurting me turns him off so he would not push the issue.

We will wait the 6 weeks. By then I've stopped bleeding and my incision isn't sore anymore.

I bleed and bleed and bleed. So whenever it stops or slows down, we get back to it. but it's usually at least 6 weeks.

At LEAST 6 weeks, for sure! I am not into sex while bleeding. And sex was so painful for me last time until about 4 or 5 months postpartum. So I know I won't be interested for quite awhile this time.

We didn't DTD until about 2 months PP. And then not again until closer to 3 months. I had a second degree tear and it hurt a whole bunch. My DH doesn't get a say in when I'm ready or not to have sex. Which sounds mean but it is my body and my discomfort.

I have no idea. I had 16 stitches last time and the first time we DTD (3 months PP!) the worst tear I had tore open again and took a LONG time to heal. In fact for almost 6 months after it kept tearing a little bit when we DTD. Wine was my friend.....I'm desperately hoping I don't have the same kinds of issues but who knows. I did bleed for almost 6 weeks last time, and I want to have my post partum checkup before I do it

With DD, we tried after about 3 weeks and it was awful. With DS, we waited 4 weeks and that extra week really seemed to help. This time, I'm hoping to be ok by the 1 month mark because that will fall exactly on DF's bday (if I'm induced on the 3rd as planned). I would love to be able to do that on his bday since it has been lacking the last few months.
