Are you having twins?
You aren't going to make it to your due date!
Is it a boy?
You look ready to pop!
Is it your first?
You look like your 16! (yes, I did take that as a compliment, since I am 34 )
Okay I got my first semi rude comment. A client came in asking when I was due. When I told him 3.5 weeks or so he insisted I was having this baby any day even after I tried to brush it off. Um, no I'm not. I'm not even full term. Quit your yapping dude so I can actually do my job before I smack you. Maybe I should have gone into detail about the lack of dilation of my cervix for him just to make him uncomfortable. I'm not bitter.
Since my mom has been doing renovations, the owner of the paint store I frequent a couple of times a week has become quite familiar with us. Another guy who works there asked me yesterday when I was due and pretended to be shocked that it was soon haha the owner immediately jumped in and said "He would never be asking you this if you looked ANY less pregnant. it's just NOT okay for a man to comment on a woman's pregnancy unless they look like you do (okay maybe THAT was rude), or unless there is literally a baby hanging out of you"
