Any moms out there have any tips or products that helped them with all the post partum pain/ bleeding etc. also, what would you recommend bringing to the hospital? I think I'm going to ge my hospital bag packed this weekend!
I have found the best freaking ibrophen I got is from the .99 cent store lol. It works awesome! I am a huge supporter of herbal baths after birth. It has helped slow my bleeding and have helped heal the skid on my perineum that can not be stitched.
Yes Yes Yes. If your hospital provides you with pads that are also cold packs or heat packs take them home with you. They are a long pad. You twist the pad to make it cold or hold (depending on the ones they give you). AHHHH - instant cold pack that also is a pad. Feels so good. Don't know anywhere they sell them. I sneak a couple out of the hospital. They are like a special treat when you get out.
use your peri bottle instead of wiping, for pee-pee
dermoplast healing spray was heavenly for ripped up sore crotch.
Breast pads---breastfeeding or not you'll need them because when your milk comes in.

Here's what we've got in our go bag:
PJs, robe, slippers for me
Comfy, loose clothes for going home in (for me)
a few outfits for baby (not sure which will fit, so we picked a few sizes and options!)
toiletries - travel size
Baby book (so they can do her footprints in there, too)
receiving blankets (one extra so DF can bring it home for the pets to get her scent before she comes home)
snacks for DF (and me after she's born) as well as some change for the vending machines
light reading/cards/etc to pass time while I'm being induced
thank you cards (blank) to fill out for the nurses/staff
a list of important phone numbers in case cell phones die/break
copies of birth plan
"focal point" object (a stuffie we bought for baby that I can focus on during contractions)
camera with charger
lotion and back massager for DF to use on me during labor.
Whew! Seems like a lot when I list it out like that!
