Has anyone suffered from a vulvar hematoma post-delivery? I am kind of in the dark about this. Right after Morgan was born the doctor said I had some minor tearing, no big deal. Then, when I was moved to the post-partum room nurses kept coming in to check my lady bits because I had a vulvar hematoma and they might need to drain it. Over the 2 days I was there they kept saying how much better it looked and it didn't need any further attention. Well, today it feels like it has gotten worse, but I can honestly say I haven't built up the courage to look at it yet, but it feels like it's at least the size of a grape. I didn't see it before, either, so I have nothing to compare it to, but it definitely hurts more now. Has anyone had one and how did you help it? They gave me Tucks pads and Dermaplast but said nothing about sitz baths or anything else to help it along.

Send a message via AIM to hilachu
i didnt have one with DS but with tearing they gave me the sitz bath just to get rid of the bad stuff after going to the bathroom since its not very comfortable to wipe
I would pick one up or at least get a squirt bottle and fill it with warm water to rinse yourself. tucks helped with soreness and healing for me with the tear.
i would call though if you think its getting worse ( i dont think i could look either )

I'm not familiar with it but ouchie I would call your Dr and see what they say. If its gotten larger it may need to be lanced like one would have done with an abscess. Hope it heals up soon!! Ouchies on the lady bits are no fun
