I have read that it can be totally normal but if you are worried there is no harm in calling the doctor.

Zack does not move around as much as he used too. Try drinking something like juice and lay down and do a kick count. I've had u/s's done where he is moving around like crazy but I don't feel it. If you are really nervous I'd call your ob just to ease your mind. It won't hurt anything and they are used to getting calls like this all the time.

I have had similar ultrasounds like that too. That's what I am doing having something to drink and sit here and see, at work so it's hard to not get interupted thou.

Try a coke with sugar and caffeine. I then place my hand on my stomach to try to catch all the activity. I do know what you mean though. I have used by doppler twice in the last 24 hours. There are times that she will kick like crazy. Then she goes that several hours where I don't notice it. I get all worried now that we are so close. Of course as soon as I get the doppler and monitor a few minutes of a good heart rate, she starting kicking up a dance party.

Drink a cup of coffee.

My mother and grandmother say babies get quiet before they are born.

The keep asking me if she is going calm.

"Calm before the storm" type of thing, but I think it may be on old wive's tale that my family just loves.
