It is likely that I will be giving birth to our little girl on June 8 Had a doctor appointment today. All is really well. I am currently almost 6 cm dilated and 90% effaced. I went from 3 and 50% to 6 and 90% in 6 days without really noticing any contractions. I was like that with our last child and had a super fast delivery. The doc discussed that I will be over 38 weeks on the weekend. He is the one on call (and my favorite of all). He said that if I can get any contactions going and make some progress he would not send me home. He recognized that 39 weeks is the general rule. He also recognized that I am 6 and 90% with a prior delivery of less than 1 hour when I had no idea I was even contracting. Overall it appears that if I begin to contract at all it is healthier to have her arrive in a planned measure. (He even indicated sex, warm water over the nipples and a long walk.)
So lucky!!! Can't wait to see pics of her! 3 days away or less. Wow. Send me some of your easy labor vibes lol
Hang in there Karry. We have very close due dates. I quickly went from 3-6 with not real noticable contractions. The same can happen for you. I know you are anxious. I am really pulling for you. Generally, I am not into induction. When you have had the experience of a really fast delivery though and are at 6 cm the planning seems good. Of course now I am getting tons of BH. Perhaps it will be earlier.
