I'm a little bit confused. Yesterday morning I woke up with what felt like period cramps. After reading and talking to a few people I figured out they were light contractions, they were coming irregularly between 7 and 12 mins apart for most the day. Towards the end of the night around 9 or 10 they became much more regular and more intense at about 7-7.5 mins apart last around 45 seconds.
Thinking I was getting closer, I double checked my bags, packed my last minute stuff, and went to relax in the bath. I didn't have any contractions in the bath. And once I got out they seemed to be more irregular. Through the night I had contractions but I was sleeping off and on so I failed to keep a steady or accurate count of them at all.
Now this morning I've had a few, but they seem to be back to around 12 mins apart...

Am I missing something .... Was I wrong about something? I'm just so confused. I started getting so excited/scared ****less last night

Sounds like you were gearing up and had some false labor. Hopefully they pick back up for you!

I REALLY hope so!! "/
I was soo excited since at this last appointment they scheduled my induction for Wednesday. I am still really hoping that I will go in to labor on my own.

Is it odd that I am still having fairly easy contractions about ten and a half mins apart....? They haven't completely stopped ... Is that a good sign?
Or is that more a sign of just (gearing up)?

Yes it sounds like false labor but don't be discouraged false labor does do something. The getting in the bath is a good way to tell if its false or real. If they go away in the tub then its usually not real labor, hang in there Hun you are almost there!

On one hand false labor. On the other they could be causing dilation. They will have your labor go faster. I was 6 days early with your first so who knows. Hoping they return.

I've been having false labour too - it sucks because you start to get all excited/scared that this is it...but then it tapers off.

The other day after my appointment with my midwife, I started having strong contractions almost exactly 4 minutes apart for over an hour. DH got the hospital bag in the car, double checked the car seat, we were all set to page the midwife and be on our way...and then out of nowhere, I didn't have a contraction for 8 minutes. And then 10 minutes after that. Next thing I knew, they'd stopped completely. ARG! So frustrating!

I feel your pain!

Ditto. Try not to be disappointed. Your body is still doing some work, just a little at a time
