I confess that last night I teared up just looking at the baby doppler. I am very happy to have Ellianna here safe in my arms. Hormones though - ugghh. Three children are perfect. I really do not want any more. I am certain in our decision for DH to get the nip. That said, I tear up thinking that I will never feel another kick in my belly, that I will never "communicate" with a baby inside of me. With all the discomfort, there is something so special about having a baby inside of you. I wanted Ellianna to come on Saturday as I was getting so dilated that I was concerned about an unassisted birth. That said, I somehow felt cheated out of the last two weeks (I know that sounds really frustrating to those dealing with the final weeks of pregnancy).

Long story to say that I am thrilled to have my daughter but a little sad to know that I will never be pregnant again.

I confess that as upset as I was to have to supplement, I'm glad I am just so we can get some extra sleep. SO is working a lot and with my c-section being infected, the extra sleep has really been nice.

I admit that I am slightly resentful at having to share my baby with any and every one with the exception of Alan.

I'm liking the boobs too! Except when DH tries to touch them. OUCH!

I confess that I miss being pregnant...just a little bit...definitely not enough to do it again.

I confess that I'm happy we've ended up having to stay at the hospital for a few days. Our house is currently a construction zone. My parents are watching Fiona for us, and we're getting all kinds of extra help here. We've had some great nurses. It's so nice to just be able to rest and recover.

I confess that I am jealous of DH's ability to sleep through middle of the night feedings. I contemplated smothering him with a pillow at 2am this morning just to see if he would sleep through that as well as he did Amelia's crying!

This totally made me laugh! I remember when DS1 was a newborn he was up screaming in the middle of the night because I had tried to lay him down (i know...bad mommy!). Well I had to pee so I handed him to DH and asked him to hold him for me while i went to the bathroom (we were in bed). Well I was so mad to come back and find DS1 screaming his little head off and DH rolled over (so his back was to DS1) and asleep! I still give him crap about that. Men...
I try to think of it as they are missing all those extra snuggles that we get.
Sorry, i know those middle of the night wake up's suck though.

You went up to a D?! Holy moly! I'm normally an A too, and there's no way they're a D now. Maybe a B+? Haha. But they're perky!

I don't think my skin could stretch to a D! Ouch!

I confess that I've done everything I swore I never would do before I was a mom: 1) Baby never sleeps in our room: we had him in a pack and play in our room for the first 2 weeks. 2) Baby never sleeps in our bed: I've fallen asleep so many times with him in our bed it's ridiculous. 3) Baby will never have a pacifier: Yeah, totally just went out and bought some to give him something to suck on that's not me.

At first I felt guilty about going back on everything I said I wouldn't do, but you know what? I learned if I get to sleep that makes everything better.

Lol yeah most of the growing happened during pregnancy...I went into delivery wearing a C and 3 days later, BAM! D's. it's painful at best. They look fake to me since they are sooooo much bigger than what I'm used to seeing. I also wish I had the flat stomach to go with them!

I confess that it is amazing...and a little sad... the things I have learned to do one handed, with a kid attached to my boob.

I confess that McKinley didn't have a name up until 2 weeks before she was born AND we never referred to her by name until she was born. Because of this, the kids hardly ever call her McKinley. Most of the time she is "baby" "baby sister" or "Mac". We are guilty of calling her those as well... Poor girl!
