I feel like it's been forever since I've been on this board!! Between caring for my 3 week old, and moving, life has been insane! Have you ever tried moving with a three week old? It's not easy!! First of all, I can't do any heavy lifting, so poor DH has had to do 90% of the move. I've tried to help pack, but whenever I try to pack, Arthur wants to either A) Eat or B) be held. Thank goodness for my church: they paid for movers to move us! So we got all our big furniture ready to move and movers moved all of that. Luckily we have our old apartment for the month, because it's really slow moving.
I've missed so many babies being born, so congratulations to all of you new moms I've missed!
Hopefully once we get settled in our new place I'll be able to get back on here regularly!!
And in a few short weeks, I will be in the exact same position as you!! Our closing date has been pushed back to mid-July, so I'll have an approximately 3 weeks old when we move into our house! I'll consider myself the director of boxes and unpacking ha ha
So nice that your church helped you out with the move! I have never moved with a new baby, but we moved at the end of March, so being that pregnant, I also wasn't able to help with much of the heavy stuff. I did most of the smaller packing, but couldn't move any boxes really or help with furniture. I was definitely mostly directing. Thank God for some really great friends who volunteered lots of time to help us out. I hope the rest of your move goes smoothly and you settle well into your new place with your new little man!
