I go in monday at 530 for the c/s unless she decides to come early, which is possible. I don't really want her to though.

I'm kinda bummed because they wont let hubby be in the OR while they give me my spinal because they are concerned about him falling out. Then he told me I could expect an hour recovery and they don't bring baby to mama in there and I just have to be seperated from her for so long.

I'm really emotional about it all, but I can't tell if I am being pregnant and hormonal or if I am rationally upset about this.

Whatever, at least I'll finally be able to meet my little womb monster, which is all I really want. I hope our time apart doesn't screw up her breastfeeding.

DH was brought in after my spinal was in place too. They actually started cutting as he walked into the room. I was terrified he was going to miss it. LOL

Did they say why they do not allow you to have baby in recovery? My hospital actually encouraged me to nurse while in recovery. It seems strange that they automatically say no to having her with you. We were allowed to have him for about 45 minutes to an hour before they had to start doing some tests/clean him up and do the rest of his measurements.

Yay to having the end in sight though!

You are certainly not being irrational! I would be livid if I couldn't see my baby for an hour! I would find out why. Huge hugs Hun.

Yeah, I would definitely find out why you can't see her while in recovery, that sounds baloney to me. It won't screw up your breastfeeding relationship though, my first was in NICU for a day after he was born and he did great at nursing.
