I haven't been bleeding a whole lot this time around. But I have been changing pads just about as often as I pee weather they need it or not. I think I had an allergic reaction to the pads (Always with wings) because now, my lips are raw (really raw) and swollen!

I've been putting A&D cream on it, Desitin and even medicated powder and nothing seems to be helping. I can't walk, or wear panties or pants. I pretty much sit on those waterproof pads I stole from the hospital in a nightgown all day.

This is MORE painful than the staples I still have for my incision and the doc wont be back in office until monday

I am so miserable. Is there a miracle cure for this misery? I am barely bleeding now, but once in a while, there will be some spotting.

HELP!!!! Cause I'm about ready to go to the ER

UPDATE:

AQUAPHOR IS AH-MAY-ZING!!!!

My Ob told me I could use cortizone as well, but I don't think I'm going to have too.

Ouch!!! I sometimes have the same problem if I have to wear pads for anything longer than five days.Last postpartum was awful!! I am trying those new pads this time the always infinity. Which are thin like a pantyliner. But honestly if I was you since you didn't give vaginal birth I would consider using a diva cup...not sure I would push using tampons just in case but since you had a c section and seem to be having a reaction a pad I would really consider using a diva cup while you heal.

AQUAPHOR!

Take a shower, pat yourself dry. Then lay on your bed with a towel underneath you and let the air get to the area. Once it feels somewhat dry apply the aquaphor. Then throughout the next day make sure to pat dry after spraying down with the peri bottle and apply aquaphor again. It really does help

Always pads ALWAYS do this to me. It's like a reaction or something. I had a little luck with putting some anti itch yeast infection cream on it, helped with the itchiness, but my doctor said there was really nothing we could do.
IT SUCKS! It hurts! I'm SO SORRY!

You could also use cloth pads. I've been alternating cloth and disposable to cut down on getting too raw down there.

No advice, just wanted to say good luck! Always original pads always did that to me and once the Infinity line came out, I never used anything else.

I have no idea where I would get that oil, but I am going to try the aquaphor, it seems to have different ingredients than Desitin, which is what im currently using. I am no longer using the pads, im just bare assing it on a towel lol

It doesnt really itch, its just super sore and painful. I can't wait to call my doc tomorrow!

I do agree aquaphor is so much better than anything at healing down there. I've tried them all with DD when she was teething she got awful down there rashes. Tried Desitin/Boudreuxs/Triple paste etc etc etc and Aquaphor was the only thing that worked. Will never use anything else for my babies bottoms now!

Always pads made me sore and raw down there too, I'm down to panty liners now which feels so much better. Maybe try changing the brand? And I agree let that area get some fresh air. Feel better soon Hun..
