Today, at the park with all 3 kids, there was a dog running around with a collar and tag on. The dog had a nasty hot spot on her tail and she was covered in ticks. She was super friendly but nobody would even touch her to read her collar. I grabbed her, called the number on her tag and got an address. The kids and I took her to our house, grabbed some medicine for her hot spot (I worked at a vet clinic until I had Mac so I have tons of stuff at home), and put some frontline on her that I had. The owners were very grateful and said they hadn't treated her tail because they didn't have the money.
I know I could have just dropped the dog off at their house but I couldn't stand the thought of her suffering and it cost me nothing!
I wouldnt think of mine as one and its not really random but how much it meant to her warms my heart.
My midwife came over to check on us when Payson was almost 2 weeks old. I had a picture of her and Payson printed and framed. She was so grateful saying she had not been given a picture from a birth before and how much it meant to her. I am so glad I was able to make her day.
