Holy growth-spurt Batman!! Even though technically this is marked as his 1 month check, Arthur is 5 weeks. To give some perspective, at his 1 week appointment, he had lost almost a pound from his birth weight and was at 8lb 6oz. At his 2 week appointment, he had gained 8oz in 5 days, but still wasn't at his birth weight. Today, at his 5 week appointment, he was 11lbs 2oz!! The doctor asked if I was still exclusively breastfeeding or if I had started supplementing, I told her, I'm still exclusively bf-ing. She seemed surprised. He also grew a half an inch since his 2 week appointment and he's 21.5". And, of course he wouldn't be my son if he didn't pee while he was on the scale

In other news, I also had my 5 wk post-partum appointment, and HUZZAH everything looks good! I'm 4lbs from my pre-pregnancy weight, and got the green light to go ahead and exercise. They don't want to see me again until it's time for my annual at Halloween!

Thats great hun and woo hoo for booby milk! I am so proud of you! Great job mama!

It seems to be normal for larger weight babies to loose more weight in the first week at least that has been my experience.

That's funny, I brought DD to the doctor this morning to see why she is being such a piss pot while feeding. I thought maybe I had a low milk supply. Just the opposite. DD has gained an average of 2 ounces per day, and weighs over 10 pounds at just under one month old. Booby milk for the win!
