Her Bili Reuben is high.. I am praying it helps bc I am so nervous.. Today at the doctor they said her level was at 18... And 21 would cause her to need to be admitted to the hospital I don't think that will be the case.. But I just hope tomorrow the level went down..
Hang in there Hun. Use the blanket and lots of vitamin D from natural light. Sit with her next to the window with the blinds open, go for a walk, and if you are nursing do it often it will help break up that billi.
Lena developed jaundice after leaving the hospital. The first time we had her level checked, she was only .5 under needing to be admitted to the hospital for phototherapy. That was disturbing. But it did go down and she didn't need to be admitted. Nurse as much as you can. They told me that would really help and sit her by a window that gets direct sunlight. The dr told me that would help as much as being outside without the risk of sunburn. She had to be checked over the next 3 days, but it went down and she is fine. Hugs! Hang in there. I'm sure she will be fine. KUP!
