my grandmother thinks i hold my newborn too much..like really? and i have an almost 19-month old so i have to put my baby down plenty. and i get a lot of heat from my family for bedsharing...it's what works best for us and we all get the best and most sleep that way. i agree, people should keep their opinions to themselves unless we ASK for them!
I get crap for holding her all the time too. But you know what, this is my last baby and she wants to be held....I'm never gonna have this chance again, so I'm holding her.
You cann't hold a newborn too much. Bourne never touched the ground. Between our house and the in home day care, he was almost constantly in someone's arms the first 6 months. He is the most fiery, independant 2.5 so I didn't break him.
My mom gave me crap for bedsharing last time and even suggested that it was affecting my sex life. Um, no and none of your business. No one has said a word about us bedsharing this time. My family knows that he gets held most of the day and night. I think they know not to question me, but I also think they are so relieved that Henry is so much easier than Abri was so they enjoy holding him too.
