Went for my 6 week pp visit today. I am still bleeding AF like and get pain in the area when I stand or walk for an hour or more. Doc did an ultrasound to rule out retained placenta - good news is that I have a great uterus with nothing retained They always have a hard time locating my second ovary. I say who cares - I have three kids and don't want any more so obviously they did their job.

Due to the bleeding and pain, he ordered blood work to check my CBC - diff (to rule out an infection), check for anemia and check thyroid. Thought I was done being a pin cushion. Oh well - it is just one more time. I am then supposed to monitor my temp at home for a couple of days to rule out fever to be sure I do not have endometritis (although if so, it should be more symptomatic at 6 weeks pp). The pain has prevented me from doing too much shopping - I think this is DH's plan to save money now that I have a girl to shop for. What he doesn't know is that I can make up for it with Internet Shopping

I hope the test results turn out okay and you figure out what's causing the pain
