It is for self survival ;p after a couple of nights of literally no sleep, she smiles in the mornings as if to say please keep me.

My heart melts more when the smile is between the hours of 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. Can you tell that last night was not a great night.

We had a good night last night for the first time in a week or two. He had been getting up every hour to eat, which left me getting approx 15-20 of sleep in between. But still, he just stares at me, no smiles... :-/

No smiles yet for us but I think he is getting closer. So far he gives this goofy little look when he sees something interesting like a window or the nightlight in our room during the night. It makes me laugh.

LMAO Courtney!! That look is classic!!
Little man often smiles in his sleep and at DH and DD but he only smiles at me in his sleep so DH tells me not to feel bad that Tristan is probably dreaming about me or my boobs lol

Lol mamaskunk. Aiden always smiled. Now as he is 1 I learned that he is silly. He likes smiling and laughing. No matter what you may be feeling your babys smile will ALWAYS make your moment/day much better.

Arthur has been smiling a lot more lately. Just the other day he smiled as he peed all over the room (including on his head). It's hard to get upset about cleaning up a mess when your baby smiles as he does it. LOL
QueenCrafty and Kim3 like this.

i was telling DH the same thing, baby girl kept me up at night but that smile in the morning melts away the anger
i had her on a smiling spree earlier today
i also love the falling asleep smile, rolling her eyes back with that big goofy toothless grin

Oh yeah. Anna only started smiling real smiles 2 days ago, but they are big and beautiful and she sure knows when to turn it on because it's always when I'm irritated or frazzled with her. Haha. Definitely melts my heart like nothing else I've experienced.
