Here's an article that you can check yourselves on how car seat safe you are but some quick reminders:

*Chest clip goes on the chest, in line with the armpits/nipples
*Harness straps are to be untwisted and tight (so that you can't pinch the material together between two finger tips along the collar bone: http://www.hbarryboollc.com/publishI...element390.jpg)

Does anyone else have the problem of a DH who can't remember where the chest clip goes? Anna is almost 3. This is not a new conversation. But whenever he does the car seats, it's on the belly. I keep stressing that they could DIE in an accident nd he just says, "Oh, I forgot..."

No if I did I'd smack him (not really). I've drilled it in so much my kids know if their chest clip isn't in the correct place.

Maybe start a sticker chart for him and you can tape it the seat. Each time you see he does it right he gets a sticker. Maybe that will embarrass him enough, lol.

Yep I've had to get after him for the chest clip and sometimes the straps are not tight enough for me.

My new britax b safe seat has it printed on the chest clip "place at chest high. armpit level" or something to that effect.

Ours has that, too. DH is much better than he used to be about getting it where it should be.
