Lilah decided she was going to wake up at 1am and party til 4am. She doesn't usually do this.

We were hanging out on the couch cuddling, she was calm but WIDE AWAKE and cooing. I looked down at her and said sarcastically

"You know, you aren't as cute at 2am as you are the rest of the day"

and then....

she smiled

So I took it back. I didn't mean it.

However, when she did go back to sleep, her butt still got up at 6am and everytime i put her down for a nap, her brother gets loud and wakes her up

I am exhausted.

Yeah...the smile is the kicker! Anna was up for quite a while in the middle of the night last night and that's not usually her thing, either. But she just stared at me like "hey mom. love you. thanks for giving me life and stuff. " And then she made some hilarious sounds in her creepy sleep (ya know, where they roll their eyes and their mouths twitch) and I couldn't be mad and laugh at the same time.

I teased Elli the other day that adoption is an option (jk - I would never give her up for anything in the world - although I could rent her out in the wee hours of the night ) I kid that her smiles are what keeps her in our house (jk of course)They are expec useful after she covers you in puke.
