I've asked this before but now our babies are older...

What has been a complete waste of money?
What was something you had to have or thought you needed that you are now like yea didn't need that?

Well I can't say it was a waste of money, but the bassinet was totally unnecessary. He slept in it for less than two months before passing the weight limit. He could've slept in the bassinet topper in the pack n play instead... Needless to say, I am selling it (for half what we paid) because even when we have another, we won't need it.

Crib sheets. Her feet have not hit the crib in more than 2 weeks. Oh heck - lets make that the entire nursery my chest is free.

Honestly, I can't think of much. We couldn't and can't afford much, so we didn't buy much. I guess the stuff that I bought thinking I was going to breastfeed - the breast pads for in my bra, the lanolin cream, etc. I'm still trying to think of a good use for those breast pads...

As a BTDT mommy, I remembered the things that were useless last time...this time I think I've done pretty well with only getting stuff we needed and that actually gets used.

I don't really use my nursing bras, I guess thats about it. I bought two, but I don't think they're flattering on me...they look funny under my clothes. And given that my boobs look awesome right now, I want to take advantage of that, not hide them under frumpy-lumpy bras. I use my pre-pregnancy bras that I love and just pull my boob out over the top of the cup to nurse. Works great.

Bra pads and milk storage bags. I rarely leaked and never had enough supply to build up a stash.

I think we've done pretty well in not accumulating useless stuff. I thought early on the swing was going to be a bust, but Morgan can take a pretty long nap in it, so now I consider it a Godsend.

Being a BTDT mom this time around we didn't get anything we haven't used. My first time around I found the bottle warmer and wipes warmer were both useless. Maybe this time I'd say the binkies. He only wants it maybe 25% of the time.

The swing. He just doesn't appreciate it like my first did. Also breast feeding supplies like pads and bags. Still thinking of returning those if its not too late. Thank goodness pump was free with insurance!

The Boppy. It's horrible for BFing. I got it with my 1st son, but tried it again this time. Babies just fall down inbetween the boppy and my belly along the curved surface. No matter how much I keep pulling it closer to me, the boys still would end up sagging down.

Although it's great to use as a lounge chair for babies before they can sit up alone.

I didn't buy anything this time around that turned out to be a waste. We still have stuff from Anna that turned out to be a waste. I think we will offer some of that to a friend who is TTC in case she can get any use out of it.

There with you. Not one of my 3 children liked our swing.

Actually, I think we did pretty well at not accumulating useless stuff. I guess the mountain of pacifiers we bought to see if he would take one are useless. (we bought a few of every kind, to try them out). He refuses to take one, which i guess is good, because I really didn't want him to have one in the first place.

The pack n play and her crib for right now.
The pack n play is more of a mobile diaper changer in our living room. And her crib is pretty for decoration but that's about it right now. She can't sleep laying flat cause of the reflux so she sleeps in her Rock N Play. That has been the best thing ever!!!!
