I've always been told not to use the sucker bulb thing, it actually can make things worse by causing swelling. We use Little Noses which is just saline, you can drop it in their noses or spray it when they get older. It works great for us, even on my 3 year old when he has a hard time blowing his nose, I spray it and it loosens everything up.

Oh for the cradle cap, Connor had it really bad as a baby for the longest time. His ped recommended we use head & shoulders for him, which we did and it helped a ton. Just be very careful when using it, you don't want to get it anywhere near their eyes!

I second Little Noses. We use it for Arthur and it works wonders.

I haven't had a cradle cap problem, so I don't have advice for that.

For cradle cap, use a few drops of olive oil and massage gently with a soft brush. It works beautifully, it totally safe, and really moisturizes the skin. If you brush in a circular motion, that really helps get that dry skin off. The oil moisturizes really well and helps prevent more skin from drying out.

Little noses is by Little Remedies. I know you can get it Target. I *think* Walmart carries it, too.

we got our little noses from the local grocery store (publix) so I'm sure that a big box store like walmart should carry it as well.

Is he stuffy all the time or just when he eats? I ask because Ellianna gets it when she eats. The doc said it is her reflux - not anything with her respiratory stystem. However, if he has it all the time, then I would think Little Noses.

As for cradle cap - I know that Baby Burts Bees makes an oil that can be used for acne and I "think" cradle cap.

Little noses can be found at drug stores too.

Cradle cap, I use Olive oil that I run into their scalp. Then when I shampoo their hair I use a soft bristle brush and rub in circles. I did that with Hailey and Zack has started to get cradle cap.

Yes, Walmart sells Little Noses. Aubrey is very stuffy all the time too and constantly has formula boogers in her little bitty nose. I sort of use the bulb sucker thing but more of a "digger" to get the boogers out cause I can't get my finger in her nose to pull them out.

My doc said to use selsun blue for the cradle cap and it worked like a charm, got rid of the cradle cap and it never came back either. I would imagine head and shoulders would do the same.
