So for the past week Morgan has been really drooly and is constantly trying to shove her hand in her mouth. She's also been kind of fussy for the last few days without a clear reason. She's 11 weeks old now. Could she be teething already? I didn't think that started til 4 or 5 months. Anyone else seeing teething symptoms yet?
OMG I was just about to post something about this, Ariana is also 11 weeks old and has been super fuzzy and has been drooling up a storm and constantly eating her hand, my mom just told me that my younger brother got teeth at 3 months old. I wonder if they're really teething. That's Insane since they're so little. DS didn't get any teeth until he was 1 year old.
Arthur is the same!! He's been really drooly for a couple weeks now, and he loves to have his hands in his mouth, but he hasnt seemed too fussy. He's 12 weeks. I get newsletters on development and one said something about lots of drool being normaal, so I never thought teething. He just drools and blows spit bubbles and raspberries...
Giana is the same and she's only 7wks. It was like a light switch flipped and all of sudden she is super drooly and she constantly wants to suck on her hand...or anything really. She's also been fussy with no reason (all needs met) and noticed her recent sucking obsession so I put a piece of ice in a baggy yesterday and gave it to her and her face was priceless!! It was like the heavens opened and sang to her! So, I'm off to buy a teething ring and orajel tomorrow. DS started teething early as well but didnt spring a tooth until 4ish months.
Aubrey is doing all of the above too but she isn't really fussy.
I thought her spit and hand in her mouth has to do with her possible silent reflux but I guess it just sounds normal at this age. I have it as a question on my list for the pedi on Monday at her 2 month check up.
It's totally possible for it to be teething. While Kiefer didn't get his first tooth until 7 months, Jaleigh had both the bottom teeth come in at only 4 months old. She was drooly grouchy mess for about a month leading up to it.
My DD followed the timetable that Kim posted pretty much to a T. However with the first one it took afew months she was drooly and eating her hands and it was weird you would see the tteeth pushing up and receding for like the first few months before they broke the surface of her gums and each time they would be pushing up she was a drooly mess. I remember saying to my mom that I just wished that the teeth would pop out already. And my DD never was grouchy or fussy though. She only got a tiny bit cranky when she got her 2 year molars
Anna has been doing this for a while now and she's 11 weeks today. She started drooling probably 3 or 4 weeks ago and LOVES getting her fist in her mouth. She's been a little fussy, but I thought it was because we were working out a nap/sleep thing. Who knows. I've heard babies can start cutting teeth at 12 weeks, but it looks like that's fairly unlikely.
