I am baffled by the fact that Aidan was born at 8 pounds and at a little more than 3 months old, he weighs nearly 20 pounds and is wearing 9m clothes..

Anyone else have a huge baby?

I was just texting Karen78 that I NEED to go buy Leif 9mo clothing. His 6mo clothing is fitting too tight in the butt especially with cloth on. He is almost 15# too so I hear ya!

It's crazy how some of our babies are growing so fast... I shudder to think how much he'll weigh in another month or two..

Board-crashing!

But I wanted to let you know that he WILL slow down. I remember with my middle boy (he was born at 8.4lbs) thinking he would be a 40lb 1-year-old because he grew soooo fast. He was 19lbs, 12 oz at his 4-month check-up. He easily was wearing 12 month clothes at that stage. And after my somewhat petite first son, I was just shocked at his rate of growth.

But, he topped out at a year at "only" 28lbs. So essentially, he gained 11.5lbs in his first 4 months (he actually never really lost weight at birth either, only 2oz), but only 8.5 more pounds in the following 8 months.

Now that he is turning 2 next week, he is holding steady at 32-33lbs and has been for a few months now. It's amazing how "slim" he looks now that his growth has slowed down (he is still in the 97th percentile for weight). But my doc told me she won't be shocked if he doesn't gain much this year. It's a common pattern for bigger babies.

So rest assured, he won't be too big to carry by 6-months He sounds adorably cuddly. I'll tell ya, folks love a chunky adorable kiddo. I got stopped constantly by people commenting on him and his baby rolls.

Return to programming. Enjoy those little rolly guys. I miss it a bit.

Elli was 7 lb 2 ounces at birth and is now 13 lbs 2 ounces - and long legs. If they are shourt pants or a dress, we are fine in 3-6. If it is long pants, we need 6-9.

I think it is genetically impossible for Jordan and I have big kids (I'm 5'2" about 120 normally and he is 5'6" and about 150). McKinley was born at a normal weight but is growing so slowly. She was 7lbs 9oz at birth and at 3 months old she is now 10lbs 3oz.

We were just having a discussion in my son's PR about clothing size and I was shocked at how many almost-3-year-olds were wearing 4T/5T! I guess it's pretty normal but hard for me to wrap my head around since my son is still wearing 18-24mo clothes hehe!

I feel like Eva is hue because my other daughter was so petite (still is). I didn't think I could make a Chunky baby, lol. She was born 7lbs and we just had her 2 month appt and she weights 13.2! She has so many rolls! I love it but I am not used to it at all!

G was a just an oz or two under 15 lbs at his 2 month check up this morning. And he is 25" long, which is off the charts! He's in 9 month clothes and medium size cloth diapers.

Well, goodness.. stop feeding him miraclegro!

Most all of our children have been in the 75th to 95th %tile for height and weight. The exception was my oldest, who was premature... he wasn't even ON the growth chart until he was like 10!

Porter is a little Peanut! He was only 10 lbs 5 oz at his 2 month checkup. He still fits in most of his newborn clothes. The 0-3 and 3 month ones are still pretty big on him.

I love chunky babies!! Henry is my peanut at 10th% for weight. At almost 3 months he still has plenty of time left in his 0-3 month clothes. Abri was my chunky baby. She was 7.5 lbs at birth and quickly shot up. At 4 months she was wearing 9 month clothes and has always been close to 90th% for weight. At 2 she was 35 pounds but hasn't gained in the year since. She's gotten taller though. Henry and Lily just have a smaller bone structure while Abri is more sturdy like me (with a cute little booty too)

Hi, I'm popping in from the July PR. My baby Ryan is also huge. He was born at 6lbs 5 oz and got weighed today at 16lbs 11oz. I can't even believe it, he's only 2.5 months old! The doctor said he's in the 97th percentile for height and weight

Aubrey was 7lb 4oz at birth. A week ago at sick visit she weighed in at 14lb 6oz. She is a chunky monkey with fat rolls and a double chin. I love it!!!
