My baby is sick

I've been through this before obviously, when Fiona was a baby, but this is the first time Finn has been sick, so I'm having a little bit of a freak out. I'm such a worry-wort.

Ok, so yesterday was a super fussy day with pretty much no napping. His eyes were goopier than normal, and he seemed a little congested. This morning he woke up with a fever of 99.9, gagging on phlegm, and his eyes were so goopy that you couldn't even see them, just two big globs of greenish-brown gunk.

I've given him a little Tylenol for the fever, put on the humidifier in his room, and when I'm not holding him I've angled his swing seat so he's sitting up a little higher so he can breathe easier. Am I missing anything? Is there anything else I can/should be doing for him? He doesn't seem particularly miserable, in fact he's been very smiley and happy this morning…

Oh, also. The booger-sucker thing doesn't work worth a crap. I need advice on what to use instead.

nose frieda booger sucker is okay...use the saline drops with it.

Johnson and Johnson makes a vapor bath....

I'm sure you could just use eucalyptus as well, but the bath is easy enough.

I second the nosefrida. Porter had been a little stuffy and I was getting nothing with a bulb. So I bought the nosefrida, even though it kinda grosses me out if I think about it! He thinks the bulb is funny when I try to suck his nose, but he didn't find the nosefrida as funny at first. I think because it actually sucks and is loud when stuff is coming out. But now he's started to get used to it and thinks it's funny on occasion. But def use some saline with it. You'll be surprised what can come out of that little nose! Hope Finn feels better soon!!
