Me!! Not like DH and I are dtd very often, but not having AF kinda makes me nervous. I took an HPT the other day just in case. Of course it was negative but I figure testing every so often just in case might help ease my mind.

Haha. I was sort of freaking out about it before last night when my SO told me that whenever I'm ready, he'd be ready to have another baby. I miss being pregnant and I love Anna so much that I definitely want another baby (or a couple!), but we've decided to wait until after we get married. Still, it eases my mind that he wouldn't completely freak out if we were to have another oops.

Me! I'm on the mini pill and breastfeeding, but I'm so afraid I'm still gonna get pregnant! I would ultimately be excited and do want to have another at some point a few years down the road, but I think I would probably cry and totally freak out if I was pregnant anytime soon.

This exactly. I've never felt better about my decision to have my tubes tied. I even got a copy of the lab report stating that there were indeed two sections of Fallopian tube sent in. I'm thinking of adding it as a page to my scrapbook

I have had my paragard in for a week and a half and I still want to use condoms because I'm nervous (and my doc never said how long before unprotected sex)

I get that. Until DH has 2 good tests - there is nothing unprotected happening here. I need to be 110% safe.

Yes! DH is getting snipped before the end of the year. Being on the mini pill and breastfeeding isn't easing my mind much.

Both of us refuse to get anything done...him because he's paranoid about side effects, me because I feel like I've already put my body through enough. It also doesn't help that AF showed up for 2 months and is now 3 weeks late. We always have protected sex and all the pregnancy tests come back negative, but it's really annoying!

I've been so paranoid, I would cry if I get pregnant. I had a rough pregnancy and Ariana hasn't been an easy baby. I can't imagine doing this all over again any time soon. I do have my paragard IUD in but there's always that chance lol I don't even wanna have sex cuz I'm terrified of ever getting pregnant again.

Oh man! Enough time's passed I think I can finally share this story! Okay, a few weeks after Rory was born DH and I found time and energy from SOMEWHERE, I don't know where! Anyway, we start making out, got carried away and then suddenly, there we were! Having sex with NO protection. About less than a minute into it (literally) I FREAKED, kicked him off and started yelling at him. For the next 3 weeks I obsessively took ovulation tests and pregnancy tests. All the ovulation tests said that I wasn't ovulating and all the pregnancy tests said I wasn't pregnant. I spent a TON of time looking at my odds of pregnancy. Everything that I read said it would be **** near impossible but it has been known to happen. UGH.

Well, anyway, obviously I am not pregnant. And DH was sent out for a big box of condoms...that have barely been touched since then

I have my paraguard copper IUD in now barely any cramping and now 2 days later I have just pink tinged watery discharge, I wouldn't even call it spotting. Super easy. I feel AWESOME. Like I am in control of my destiny.

IUDs (at least copper) are effective as soon as they are in, and are as effective as most common forms of sterilization. I have actually been feeling a bit more saucy lately... Surprising since it was months before the slightest urge took hold after M was born. I think the safety of having the IUD in helps a lot. SO GLAD we went this route instead of FAM+condoms... This way there's no stress. I was nervous about side effects but so far, they have been minimal to nonexistent

Strangely enough, I'm not freaked out about it. DH is scheduled to get the big snip, but they can't get him in until April. Until then we're not using any form of contraception (I had an IUD after DD was born and I bled for 6 months straight and then it fell out, hated it. And I refuse to go on hormonal BC because it turns me into a crazy person. And condoms...bleh.) Withdrawal always worked for us before...we didn't get pregnant when we didn't want to, and when we did want to get pregnant it took a full year of actively trying to make it happen. Plus I haven't gotten my period back yet. I thought I was getting it when I had a little spotting last month, but nothing since, so I guess not.

All that being said, while we're happy with the decision to make things permanent, it wouldn't be the end of the world if we had another. We'd make it work. So...que sera sera...whatever will be, will be.

I think about it from time to time, but I'm not worried. From past experience I can be fairly confident that bf'ing will keep my fertility away for at least another year, and I know the signs to watch out for to know when I may be fertile again.

That, and with DH home only every other weekend, we just don't have much opportunity.
