How many naps does your baby take a day? Are they predicable or all over the place?

Porter almost always takes a morning nap for 2-3 hours in his swing. In the afternoon it is hit or miss for a nap usually. But once he's past tired he is so hard to calm down. Lately he's been getting tired in the nursery at the gym & they have a hard time calming him down. I've yet to figure out how to fix it so he's happy for them!

John doesn't nap except at the breast. Sometimes I can pass him to one of the kids.

hailey naps like clockwork...40 minutes every 1-2 hours so about a total of 4 naps during the day. sometimes she'll take a nice long one during the day (about 2 hrs but that's if i lay down with her & nurse her) she mostly sleeps through the night (about 8pm-730am) but still feeds throughout the night

Totally unpredictable. Some days he'll wake up to eat around 6 am and then stay in bed and sleep until 8:30. Maybe I can count that as a nap? Otherwise I can get about 30 minutes in the swing or in my arms about twice a day. Yesterday he woke up at 6:30 and stayed awake until 10 am. He can be sound asleep in my arms and as soon as I try to put him in the crib, he wakes up and laughs at me. Sigh. One day...

Eli takes a nap about an hour after he wakes up, then at 1 or 2, and again at 5 or 6. Naps are unpredictable in length. Varies between 30mins- 2 hrs.

Porter decided naps were unnecessary today. As was much sleep last night. I'm hoping maybe he'll sleep a lot tonight since he didn't really sleep today. I depend on that 3 hour morning nap and I was so sad it didn't happen! Lol. I feel like I spent the entire day trying to get him to take a nap!

Poor G. He seems to want a big midday nap every day, falls asleep 11:30ish on me and is soon out cold enough to not stir while I talk on the phone, move him around, leave him on his bed etc. It gives me a chance to do a couple things and eat lunch but then I always have to bring him to pick up DD at preschool at 1pm and it always is such a rude awakening. I feel like he'd take a big long nap then if he could. He does usually catch 45-60 minutes in the morning and/or afternoon though. I feel like he has such a tougher time of it than DD did because our whole world revolved around her and now DS is having the "second child" thing where he is dragged along everywhere. Poor guy.

Generally Ellianna takes a 3-4 hour nap from about 9 - 1. However, if she misses this nap she is up all day.
