I like this new doctor. She encouraged me to keep breastfeeding as long as I can and to even hold off on starting rice cereal/solids as well but she wrote up a food chart if we want to start....I think I'll wait.
She even was shocked at his weight because he's in 85 percentile in weight and she said breastfed babies are small but mentally they develop faster
OK - I have the little one Just kidding. I say she has tires for thighs. So many roles. However, she is 14 pounds 5 ounces. I guess she just looks so chunkey compared to when she was born. Good to hear that our babies are growing so healthy. I find it so hard to believe that it was just 4 months ago that our babies were born. They grow way tooooooo fast. I was just thinking how fast this first year is going. You know the saying - if they could just stay little till their Carters wear out. If that was true, I would buy the absolute best made clothing and keep them little for a long time. I just love the cuddles of infants.
i thought he was going to be on the smaller side. I am on a few breastfeeding pages on FB and a lot of moms post photos or stats of their babies and the ones about our babies age have babies over 20lbs...even reaching up to 25lbs at 4 months and I thought I didn't have a good supply seeing those numbers. Yet dr is saying that Trey is a bit bigger baby for his age than she has seen.
Wow you ladies have some healthy chubby babies!!! I love it! I'm not sure how much McKinley weighs now...she was only 10lbs 3oz at 3 months and her 4 month check isn't for another week. If she is at least 12lbs, I will consider that a success!
For the record, I've always been jealous of people with chunky babies. My kids are always so shrimpy that I've never been able to enjoy all the rolls. To put things into perspective, my son was 18lbs 6oz at 12 months lol. Guess that's what ya get when both parents are shrimpy lol.
Payson hasn't had her 4 month yet because we needed her Social to add her to deers which she needs to be in to be prime on our insurance. We are using a lot of issues being remote so I'd rather wait until we get her prime for her appointment. But she was 11lbs at 2 months and she's fairly chunky.
