so we took Madeline to an allergy specialist today and they tested her by doing the skin pricks on her back for about 20 different foods. I'm bummed out because everything was negative. Turns out whatever it is is not a TRUE allergy but an intolerance and there's no test for that so back to food challanges. Ugh. I'm doing soy today to see what happens. This is so hard! I just want to know what it is that keeps her belly so messed up! Everything is all so complicated by the fact that she is cutting her top teeth now and so she is in pain with that as well and cries a lot. It is difficult to know what is bothering her sometimes.

Hugs hun!!! One day it will all clear up and you may never know what caused it! Some babies just react a lot to stimuli and she may just need some time to recalibrate. The food challenges may help too. If nothing else you can get your normal diet back slowly.

The two kids I know who had colic as babies are very even tempered and easy going now, one is a preschooler and one is an adult.
