I have not been here much at all. My maternity leave has come to an end. I go back to work Monday. I am terrified of leaving Eva. She is starting to be afraid of people she doesn't know and will cry when others hold her. Even her grandparents. Also she HATES taking a bottle. We have tried several kinds and we have found it doesn't matter what bottle, she wants mommy. Granted, we haven't had much good practice because I am the one with her the most. She ends up taking it eventually but screams bloody murder. I am a mess. Positive thoughts or encouragement is appreciated. We visited her new daycare again Thursday and she is well aware of my concerns. I am jus so worried imagining her hungry and crying all day. I am going to be a basket case all week.
I know how hard it is. I was so upset with my first. I suspect she will miss her first feeding or even two, and then chug. Try not to call the first day. They will call if there really is a problem. If it helps, think of it this was. There are times that Ellianna sleeps 10-11 hours without nursing. For a little, he might just cluster in the morning and night. In a couple of months she will take food with a little sippee. You will make it. I promise (I did it three times )
Thanks girls. I appreciate the comments. She acutely did a lot better than I thought! The daycare provider texted me all throughout the day and sent pics. It was very sweet. She took two 2 oz bottles but the took her like an hour to take the whole thing. Then she took another 2 oz very well. And she took a two hour nap. Then my husband picked her up and gave her another 2 oz and she took it perfectly. Which is huge because she never has taken it that well and been happy about it. So I am very happy and I hope it continues to improve. She has been nursing since I walked in the door though! I dont mind a bit!
