Do you take the kids around the neighborhood, or let your DH/SO do it and you hand out candy?
Do you do both?
Do you stay in your own neighborhood or travel to another?
What time do you get started?
What time do you turn out the lights?
We change it up every year. This year we will be doing a candy crawl in the afternoon at our little business district. Then we'll put a bowl of candy out on our porch and go to a friend's for a Halloween party. We will probably trick or treat in their neighborhood.
We just take the kids out. Last year we went to a diff neighborhood but we actually live in a good neighborhood now so we'll go here this year. We will probably start after dinner, so around 6. We'll call it a night around 7:30 or 8.
Since having the kids, we get them ready to go out right after dinner so around 6/6:30. We go around our surrounding blocks. Both DH and I go. We don't pass out candy since we are taking them out. We go for about an hour to hour and half or till they start complaining. It drives me nuts watching these parents who drive their kids block to block!
