Do you make christmas cookies? Do you use family recipes that have been passed down? What kind do you make if you make them?

Yes. I make a recipe that was my grandmother's and a favorite of mine and my sister's. It's a caramel oatmeal bar. It's terrible for you with like 2 sticks of butter, chocolate chips, and caramel, but it is so delicious when you melt it a little. I am really disappointed with giving up dairy this year.

I just use a bag. We make them every year on Christmas Eve.

I don't make any. I should ask my mom for some of her recipes though.

Yep. We make different types but my kids still love Nestle Tollhouse the best of all This year since I am dairy free we are making all our goodies with butter flavored crisco. They still taste good ;p

We make some, not as many as in the past, and definitely not as complicated. I haven't made any from scratch this year, just the prepackaged dough type... I was waiting for my 13 yr old dd to be done with school, so she can help me so I think we will try some next week!

My mother and my grandmother are both terrible cooks, so I don't have any family recipes that have been handed down from them. All of my cookie recipes are first generation...lol.

I always make a bunch of baked goods for DH for Christmas. Classic chocolate chip are his favourite, but I also make sugar cookies and chewy ginger cookies - as well as blueberry muffins (Not Christmassy, but he loves them) and my famous apple pie that comes out for all holidays and birthdays.

I love baking, I went a little overboard this year and have 5 cookies and oreo balls! I actually made all the dough throughout the week and froze it. I'm baking them all up today and making up bags to give to the neighbors and family. No family recipe, more tradition. DH's family always does Santa's Whiskers...I also made a S'mores cookie, candy cane blossom, candy cane snowball, peppermint chocolate crackle, and the oreo balls. I just pick and choose from my pinterest board and decide what looks good and what I feel like making LOL
