What does everyone's LO take a bath in? Do they play with any toys? Do they like the bath?
We've gone through an infant tub, a sling seat and a suction seat already. He's too big for the infant tub, too squirmy for the sling seat and his legs are too fat for the suction seat. We just ordered a new inflatable little tub that sits in the big tub.
He tries to play with toys but I'm so paranoid about him falling in the water that I don't give him enough time to really play.
Zack is in his baby tub without the seat now. He got to long for it lol. He sits up well but I still hold him or have my arms around him most of the time. He has a few toys in there with him that he plays with. We once tried him in the bumbo seat in the big tub with the girls. I had to hold the seat the whole time because it wanted to float.
Ellianna just sits in the regular tub. I fill it with only 3-4 inches of water. She sits and scoots around in it with a tea set. She does not use the tea set for its intended purpose - just really chews on it. She also likes to grab the wash cloth and chew on it. I am so worried about thrust though that I try to stop the chewing on the cloth. I think with Ellianna being number 3 and me being 40, I am ready to get rid of the baby items. She really likes the tub and I just sit there with her. We spend a lot of time as a family in our pool in the summer so I really want her used to water. Therefore, when I was her hair, I just let the water run over her face. She is used to it and doesn't mind.
Peyton is still in the baby bath, but we had to move her inside the big tub long ago. She loves to kick and splash and was making a HUGE mess on top of the counter. She plays some, but mostly just eats or sucks on the toys, and just splashes up a storm. When she's sitting just a little better we'll put her in the big tub, maybe another month or so.
We never even bothered with a special baby tub because we just don't have the space. When Finn was younger he just laid in the tub in about two inches of water. Now he sits up in 3-4 inches. He doesn't have any bath toys yet, but he likes to chew on the cup I use to pour water on him.
