Same here - every two hours on the dot. Usually he goes right back to sleep when I nurse him, but occasionally he gets it in his head that 3 am is playtime and won't go back to sleep for a couple hours.
At this age, sleeping through the night is the exception, not the rule. I think moms tend to exaggerate (lie) about their baby's milestones because they love them so much and just want the rest of the world to be equally impressed with them. That's why I love this group. There's none of that attitude of competition and trying to out-do each other. We're all in the same boat here, and it's a safe place to say "I love my baby, but I'd pay anything for a solid night's sleep!"
Honestly, I was pretty persistent with a bedtime schedule early on. I suck at a naptime schedule, but I'm sure to do bathtime (on nights we do one) at 6:30, PJ's at 7, read a story (some nights...depending on her mood and attentiveness), nurse and bed by 8. On the rare occasion she wakes during the night I let her be and 99% of the time she falls back to sleep on her own within a couple of minutes.

We partially cosleep. She goes to sleep before I do, then when she wakes I bring her to bed with me. She only wakes if she is sick most of the time. Sometimes she wakes to nurse. Some nights she sleeps all night on her own and doesn't wake up to come to bed with me until early morning (5 or 6 am--on a few occassions it's been later). We just follow her cues and don't worry about letting her sleep with us. With our first two, people told us our kids would never sleep on their own because we cosleeped. Coincidentally, the two that are the best about bedtime are the two we coslept with for the longest By kid 3, people stopped telling us not to let them sleep in bed with us and said we obviously know what we are doing So trust your instincts and do whatever gets everyone to sleep the best! Some kids do better on a routine and sleeping alone (that's just their personality!) and other kids do better cosleeping One rarely has to do with the other. It's like the people who start potty training when their baby is 1 so their baby can be potty trained by 1 year and 11 months. And then some people start potty training and 2 and their kid potty trains in a few days. In the end, they all "get there", and it's more peaceful to get there on your own time than to force it just to have it happen slightly sooner
