Anyone elses LO just dissolve into tears whenever you're not in sight?

Arthur is totally okay being 100% independent on the floor playing, until I get up and move out of sight. Our apartment is an open floor plan, so it's not like I've even left the room completely, like if I get up from the couch and move to the kitchen to get a drink, if the couch is blocking his view of me, he just starts CRYING, until I move back into his sight, then he's happy. This morning in order to take a shower, I had to distract him with toys, and face him away from his doorway, and then tiptoe out before he realized I was gone!

Anyone else dealing with this?

Zack has times where he's like that but its not all the time. I haven't left him with anyone other the DH though so I'm not sure how he would be with a sitter.

See, Arthur did FINE when we left him with his first non-family member baby sitter in Iowa. Of course, 1) we skype with her a few times a month, 2) she used to work in day care, so she knows how to distract a baby from their leaving mama, and 3) we left without saying goodbye. I got a text when we got on the interstate to head to our movie that he was happily playing on the floor with her kids and laughing at the dog. I'm sure if he had seen me leave, it would have been a different story. If we make eye contact with him and then just walk on by, it's the end of the world.

Weston does that once in awhile but not too often. He's stayed with my mom and mil and was fine without me.

Leona has started this. It is not every time I am out of sight, but more often than not.

Porter does this sometimes. Usually just if he's hungry or tired then he really wants me. My mom watched him one day while I went to teach Zumba and when I got home they were sitting on a chair playing. I talked to him and then went into the kitchen to put my stuff down and he started crying. He couldn't believe I had walked away from him! He was so sad. But I think it was mostly bc he was hungry and his food walked away. Lol.

Peyton does sometimes as well, but mostly hers is with other people. Even DH's parents and my parents, it's crazy. She will start fussing, then pushing them away, and then get really upset. As soon as they hand her back to me, she turns around and gives them a SMILE!! What a brat! lol Connor was never like that, he didn't care who was holding him or where I was! It's definitely different this time around!
