Porter wasn't a fan of banana. Which is fine with me. I hate bananas. I hate the way they smell. I hate touching them. I am sure I will try it again, but it's ok with me if he hates them too! He likes zucchini though, which is my favorite. So I'm glad!
Finn has loved everything, except for the one thing I didn't mean to give him, and I felt like the worst mom in the world.
For my brother's birthday dinner this past weekend, my dad made steak with a kind of tomato/olive/caper thing to go on top...I don't know if you'd call it a salad or a relish or what. Anyways, Finn was hungry and fussing and I was trying to cut up Fiona's steak for her so I was distracted and I hadn't tasted my food yet. I gave him a piece of tomato from my plate because he loves tomatoes. He started crying and spit it out, and I thought he was just over-tired and hungry and fussy, so I gave it to him again. More crying, red in the face, spit it out again. So I tasted the tomatoes on my plate, and OMG they were SO spicy! My dad had used the juice from a jar of pickled jalapenos in the salad and nobody thought to tell me! I felt so awful. I had to leave the table and breastfeed him just to get him to calm down.
