Does your LO climb the stairs? Does it make you nervous? Have they fallen?

weston hasn't fallen yet but he also hasnt tried coming down yet. I think if he tried to go down he'd fall. IT makes me nervous bc im afraid he's going to lean back and fall down them. I will only let him crawl up them if im right there. I have a gate on the top and bottom of the steps in our house.

We have a gate at the top, but not at the bottom. I'll occasionally let him crawl up the stairs, but only if I'm right there with him.

Our living room is gated off so he can't get to the stairs. I'm still a nervous nelly with Hailey and she's 2 1/2 so I'm not ready for that can of worms with him yet!

we don't have stairs that she can climb but i do have one of those playskool picnic tables and she can climb completely on top of that. she fell a couple times just climbing on to the bench part so she definitely makes me nervous! if she does climb to the top of the table i obviously get her down right away

I just re-read my post. I should clarify. Ellianna is good walking up although I am never more than 6 inches away. I let her go as I figure she has to learn sometime - but I am RIGHT there. I cannot take my eyes off of her a minute in the house as she loves the steps and I cannot find a gate as our steps flair open into an open foyer.
