Well I just had surgery last night. I was 5 weeks. I woke up at 6:45 feeling fine and then a couple of hours later it just hit me. The pain was awful. I was in Oklahoma for a family reunion and went to the ER. They claimed to not see anything, so we drove all the way back to The Woodlands in Texas to St. Lukes Hospital close to home and they found the baby in my left tube. By the time they got me into surgery my left tube had already ruptured, so I lost my left tube. The doctor ran a camera through my right tube and said that tube is perfect with no scaring which I was really surprised because of the tubaligation and tubal reversal I've had. I can still get pregnant with just one tube right?

I'm so sorry for your loss. Pregnancy with just one tube is completely possible, it may just take a little longer depending on which ovary releases an egg that cycle.

was this your first pregnancy after your TR? I'm very sorry you had to that happen. I know a couple gals that have gotten pregnant with one tube, and one of the girls had her left tube blocked and had gotten pregnant and found out it was ectopic but attached to her right ovary so they removed her right overy. 3 months later she concieved! she released an egg from her left ovary and concived through her right tube!! She now has a healthy 8 month old little boy. Life finds a way...

I still have my left ovary, so when I ovulate am I still going to ovulate out of my left ovary even when my left tube isn't there? I'm guessing I am and isn't it going to take longer for me to get pregnant when we decide to start trying? I know that when I was ovulating out of my left side I could always feel it! I've never felt it on my right side though. Now I'm wondering if I even ovulate on my right side.

You will still ovulate out of both ovaries even though the left tube isn't there. It will take longer since you'll have to wait until you happen to O from the right side instead of the left. You may have only really felt ovulation on the left side because it was more sensitive to it. I'd recommend talking to your doctor about your concerns to help put your mind at ease.

Yes, you certainly can get pregnant. I also had a left side ectopic pregnancy. My surgery was in October and I became pregnant in December. The human body is miraculous !

I know this is a little late but I just wanted to say I'm so sorry for your loss. And also to say that my mom had lost one tube due to endo and she ended up pregnant with fraternal twins, me and my sis. So keep positive!

there is hope! i know right now it seems like there isnt any because thats the way i felt when i had my left tube removed due to an ectopic as well in march, but guess what i just found out i was pregnant today and i had only been trying since may. yes, its a scary thing to think of it happening again or waiting for what seems to be an eternity but with lots and lots of baby dust, hope and prayers things come. youll be alright just remember us when you get pregnant best of luck.
