Any of you lovely moms of boys have any suggestions for what to do for an almost 15mo old who has been waking up soaked every morning even when wearing a pampers overnight diaper? Usually the last liquid he has is his milk with dinner (about 6:00pm dinner time) and he is usually in bed by 7:30. He wakes up around 7-9am and his jammies are soaking wet. He is wearing a sz4 diaper and I am using sz4 pampers overnights I am out of ideas at this point and hate the idea of having to set my alarm for halfway through the night to change him and disrupt both our sleep patterns....any ideas????

Thanks a ton!!!

I have a couple of suggestions. First, you might try going up a size in diapers for nighttime only. He may be going too much at night for the sz 4.
Also, this may sound like a no-brainer, but I have forgotten to do this on more than one occasion; make sure his penis is pointed down before you close the diaper. If it is up, he can pee right up the front of the diaper, and out.
I'm hoping some other moms can come in and help, too.

I agree go up in the size of diaper .

Also, besides pointing the penis down make sure its is centered in the middle while closing the diaper otherwise if the penis is pointing towards the side of the diaper the pee could be coming out the sides too which could get both the front & back area wet .

So when he wakes up is it his front & back part of the jammies wet ?

Or is is just a certain part soaked thru on the jammies ?

Are his diapers snug on him too like there is no widening opening in the sides or any of the sides kinda tucked ?

I agree...try a size up and perhaps try and new brand of diapers as well.

And I like the idea of making sure he's pointing downward when you put the diaper on.

I would suggest changing to a different brand and/or going up to the next size

Thanks all! I found a smaller package of Huggies overnights and they seem to be working now after about 4 nights of waking up not soaked!!! I did go up a size to the 5's for overnight as well...

He was mostly wet up the front...I figured it was because he sleeps on his belly but I will make sure we are "aimed" the correct way as well

Glad he is waking up dry now.

I was going to suggest going up a size or change the brand of diaper.
