Wait for signs to begin, boys are more stubborn and it pretty much has to be their idea - whether they are 2 or 4 lol. Then I like to teach them to stand to pee from the start, teaching them to sit then having to reteach them to stand seems pointless (unless of course they are too short to stand at the potty then you might have to). My boys almost always get the standing to pee thing real fast - because it's fun lol. Watching daddy is also helpful, learning from the same kind can speed things up! I think the reason my later 2 have learned faster is because they learned from their big brother - monkey see monkey do!
With Joe I started too early (he was barely 2) he was not into it and I think pushing him made it worse. He didn't end up fully p/t till he was 3 1/2 years old! So when Jayden was born I was like oh no here we go another lifetime of diapers (it seems that way lol) but he had just turned 2 and decided he wanted to use the potty like Joe and BAM that was it. He was fully p/t by 2 years and 2 months! Hunter I had hoped would do the same but we had Carson so it threw my ability to be involved w/ pt off. He did not want to go so I didn't push it but then he would not keep a diaper on so I let him just wear undies and in a few weeks he had mastered it. He's been pt for several months now and he's 2yrs and 7 months.
Goodluck!!
