I'm horrible and I hate decorating for anything. I love Christmas, just not the hassle of it. My MIL lives with us now and loves to do it, so I'm all for letting her! Jaiken's bday is Dec 1 so we never decorate until after that because I want his birthday completely separate from Christmas.

My birthday is Dec 6 and that's why we always wait! My DH is a stickler for keeping celebrations separate. lol
I'm glad your mil can decorate for you. I wish I had someone to do it for me. lol I love it once it's up..but it is a hassle to put it up..then take it allllll back down again.
My older ds always wanted to put them up after Thanksgiving dinner, so I just kept on doing it then even when we let xdh have Thanksgiving and stopped doing anything for it EXCEPT putting up Christmas decorations, lol.
They have to come down right after New Years because of older ds's birthday. I left them up until April before then, but I wanted to make his birthday special and didn't really suceed any more than anyone else who has kiddos in December or January.
i'm on the same page as brandis in that Kale's birthday isn't until 12/8 so we don't even TALK about Christmas until after his birthday. so actually as of right now (12/11) we still don't have any Christmas stuff up. but this weekend we'll get to it
