So today is day # 4 of him not wanting to eat. The past few days I've gotten him to eat a few pieces of cheese, 2 crackers & one can of soup. He LOVES fries...so when he refused them & started to choke after he took a bite, I knew something was up. The first day he didn't want to eat I figured it was just because he wasn't feeling well. The second day I figured he had a sore throat since I still have one & Jordon has strep. I should have taken him in then. I finally decided to take him last night. Sure enough...he has strep too
Ugh...I feel horrible for not taking him sooner when my gut was telling me something was up. Hopefully the meds work...Amoxicillian didn't with Jordon, so we'll see. If he's not better by Monday we're to follow up with his ped...but he's out of town until after the New Year, so it'll be back to the ER if he's not. He's drinking, but not having as many wet diapers, so that's a bit odd. He's keeping everything down, so that's what counts right now. I just hope it's all gone before Christmas & he has his normal appetite back soon.
