I tried really hard to BF my daughter but it only lasted a little over a month. Every time I would BF I would become overly emotional and feel overly lost. She was doing great with it. Then when she was just 14days old she had to be put on a monitor that would tell if she was holding her breath anytime for more than 20seconds when she was sleeping. The stress of everything and constant worry that I might not hear her monitor go off really got to me. She had to wear the monitor until she was a year and a half years old.
This time I am going to try again. I will have bottles on hand if I can't. I am going to try and not over stress it.
FF my first. I was young and didn't know enough about it. I tried but gave up when I couldn't get him to latch and all he did was scream until I gave him a bottle.
BF my second until she was 13 months. Took her off because we had a new one coming very soon. Hate I made her stop though.
BF my third until 10 months. Was pregnant again and had placenta previa so doc advised me to stop. Again I hated making him, especially because he was a preemie.
BF my fourth until 18 months. I wasn't pregnant again so no rush and he ended up weaning himself.
BF my fifth for sure. It was tough with dd but I am a pro now so there's no doubt we will do it again.
