Had some bright red spotting about an hour ago. This is exactly how my last miscarriage started. I will be calling my doc in the morning and see if we can get my hcg levels checked but I have a bad feeling. I don't really understand why this is happening I gave birth to 4 healthy children and never had a miscarriage until recently. I'm only 33 I don't think I'm too old but something is clearly wrong lately. I'm not having pain and last time I had horrible lower back pain. Like I said before I did have some red spotting wih my very first child and he turned out fine. I will hold out hope and keep you all posted.

11/7/12

So my levels were not back yet but they took more blood to do the second test. But it's not looking good. My cervix was closed but way to firm. she did an ultrasound and it barely showed a small thin sack, no baby. My pregnancy test was positive but she said it didn't match with how far along I'm supposed to be on the ultrasound. She still did my pregnancy work up and scheduled me for my next prenatal visit but if my numbers are bad the its just a matter of time before I miscarry if the fetus isn't developing right. I'm praying maybe I'm just off with dates and it was too early. Should know something by tomorrow.

I'm sorry I'm hoping it's not a miscarriage, I bled heavily from 6-18 weeks with my last baby and it was SO scary.

Thanks you guys for all the warm wishes. No more red spotting but had a little brown this morning. Called my doc and she called in a lab to check my hcg. I will go later, I have to be home for the plumber this morning. I'm still worried though because it feels like my symptoms are going away. I haven't eaten since yesterday afternoon and usually I would be starving but I'm not hungry at all. I'm still a little dizzy but even my fatigue is subsiding. Not good signs. I will keep you posted on what happens and my lab results.

Yes, keep us posted!

The fact that it's gone to just brown spotting is a good sign!

Good luck, the brown spotting is a good sign.

And please eat something, that is probably the cause of your dizziness.

Went and had my labs done. Hopefully I will get good news back. I haven't had any more spotting at all since this morning when I first woke up and no red spotting at all. Still nervous though because I was 5 weeks and 1 day along the first time I saw spotting with my loss. I miscarried 10 days later. No spotting but the one day then all of a sudden I started bleeding. This time I was 5 weeks and 3 days along yesterday and the same red spotting for the one day like last time. Afraid history will repeat itself so I'm scared to relax. I have to go back in a couple days and repeat the test again to make sure my levels are increasing like they should.
