New Mommies: What has you most scared about this new journey you are on? Is it something in pregnancy? Is it laboring? Delivery? Bringing a new baby home? Something different??

What about our BTDT mommies? What are you most worried about?

my biggest fear right now is m/c b/c i had a 10 week loss back in march.

provided that the pregnancy is healthy, my biggest fear as a BTDT momma is how i am going to handle 2 children. i know i can handle the pregnancy and giving birth - i've done that before. DS was a very difficult baby and still demands a lot of attention as a 3 y/o. i fear that this baby will also have colic. i thought i was losing my mind when jacob was a baby. i just keep telling myself that it can't possibly be that bad twice. and hopefully DS will learn to be a little more independent (he's a momma's boy )

Right now, miscarriage. I'm a nervous wreck. Trying not to be, but sometimes the worry is too much.

I think I'm most worried about my daughter feeling left out when a new baby is here. It is going to be my #1 goal to make sure she doesn't feel that way.

I am worried about miscarriage or chromosomal abnormalities. And I am definitely worried about dividing my attention and energy with a newborn and a 2 year old. I nursed my son sooooooooo much, and I will have to do less with this baby. In a way that is good, because the first round was ridiculous. But I worry about setting limits appropriately and still establishing nursing and weight gain with the baby.

Miscarriage. Ectopic. Anything abnormal with the baby.

I have an incredible fear that I'm going to carry this baby for a long time--15+ weeks--and then lose it. I don't know if I can handle that emotionally.

I've had two losses and I'm advanced age. And I've been spotting this entire time. I'm definitely worried. About everything, it seems.

Definitely miscarriage. I feel a little better now that I've seen my bean (last time was a blighted ovum, so I just had a big ole empty sac after having earlier confirmation that everything was fine... ughhhh).

Miscarriage like everyone else. I had some complications the first time (cholestasis) and I am dreading getting it again, although it doesn't happen until the last trimester. I'm also a little scared of dealing with another colicky baby and the lack of sleep, since I know what I am facing this time

Well another for miscarriage (I do feel slightly better now though, now that I have past the "point" where I miscarried twice, 5w2d)

Other than that though, assuming everything goes well. Probably money, I need to work and daycares have waiting lists 10 miles long here, education, not turning into this crazy "EVERYTHING IS ABOUT MY CHILD" person like some of the parents we get at work.

1st pregnancy here!

miscarriage, thats a huge one. it's why i don't want to tell for a long time, i know my excitement will soon outweigh those fears after u/s's but still. next is labor... oh lordy i am terrified of tearing. i am also scared i will be a disaster during labor, yelling, screaming, having a breakdown. i'm also afraid of a horrible and out of control birth, they don't listen to me and do things without my consent.

My 5 year old also had Colic & She has some other stuff we've been dealing with other the last 5 years... (select mutism, PANDAS, sensory issues, etc) and she never out grew her separation anxiety like "normal" kids do.
I also have had that fear of my next child having similar issues with colic and never sleeping through the night.

But right now, selfishly, I am thinking about the 40+ pounds I just lost and how I SO don't want to gain them back! I promised myself this would be the healthiest pregnancy I could muster out of myself as far as eating super healthy and staying active!

M/C is my concern right now since I seem to be having some issues already and I'm approaching the time frame I had my last one. I have already dealt with having 2 toddlers and a newborn and I had the one toddler with a preemie. That was the hardest time for me because my son required so much attention and our daughter was only 16 month when he was born plus I had my older son and school with him. It was tough. Our son cried a lot and was very hard to console. He is still much more complicated then the others but I feel I can handle however many come along at this point. Just had to get past the initial steps. But I'm a pro now, lol.

Forgive my ignorance but what in the world is "birth rape"? I have never heard that term before and it sounds odd.

i have read about it in a few articles, its basically horrible births that the mother is not in control of. i'd rather not get gritty about the details. maybe i should consider revising my use of the word, sorry.

Adhesions, mostly. I had very bad scarring from my first c-section and when I got pregnant with Norah they ripped pretty much constantly. It's about as much fun as having scar tissue rip inside of you sounds. I'm also not looking forward to getting contractions, considering I start contracting early but don't dilate at all.
