I think since I got blessed with crappy pregnancies, I was given easy labors and deliveries as a trade off.

Everybody has their own way of doing things and raising their children. No one way is better than the other. The end product will be the same no matter what path you take, and never let anyone make you feel otherwise.

We live too far out of the city for a homebirth, it wouldn't be safe in the event of complications. But I'm hoping for a midwife assisted hospital water birth.

Not a chance. My husband would never go for it, even if I really wanted to.

^^ I don't think my husband would ever agree to a home birth either. His sister did though, and he was on pins and needles the whole time and still says it gives him shivers to think about what would have happened had something gone wrong.

I had a home birth with my son, it was perfect (for me) in every way. I think it all depends where you feel most comfortable.. It doesn't matter where you give birth to your baby, it just matters you do it love and that you're getting the respect you deserve as a laboring mommy.

I would love a home birth but I'm too high risk. I will be using the birthing centre though and not the l&d due to not wanting any pain meds.
